- MARK D. GONZALES: Mr. Mark Gonzales has stated to CCFJ that he is very sympathetic to Jenny’s situation and believes that she should be treated better than she has been by the Dallas Zoo and Dallas City Council. An Oak Cliff native with an MBA, Mark Gonzales has a track record of support for Oak Cliff home owners, residents, and business. Mark states that he is an advocate of quality of life in Oak Cliff and if elected, will work to reduce crime and keep the citizens safe and businesses prosperous. Mark states he is running on a platform of economic development, neighborhood safety, and educational program enhancement.
- DELIA JASSO: Ms. Jasso declined to discuss Jenny’s situation. When she was asked to consider exchanging ideas with CCFJ, she stated that she decided to instead call the Dallas Parks and Recreation Director to obtain his views. Please note that historically, the Parks and Recreation Director has supported the Zoo’s decision to refuse to retire Jenny to The Elephant Sanctuary and to instead keep Jenny confined to the less than ¼ acre exhibit, as she has been for the last twenty-two years.
- JUSTIN C. EPKER: Mr. Epker states he is sympathetic to Jenny’s situation

- GWAIN I. WOOTEN: Ms. Gwain Wooten has stated to CCFJ that he is very sympathetic to Jenny’s situation and believes that she should be treated better than she has been by the Dallas Zoo and Dallas City Council. An Oak Cliff Native and community activist of many years, Ms. Wooten has served on multiple committees devoted to supporting her neighbors and the community.
- City Council Incumbent PAULINE MEDRANO: In April, 2009, Ms. Medrano voted to fund the new $27 million Dallas Zoo elephant exhibit with tax payer dollars. She supports the Zoo's intent to continue Jenny's restrictive confinement in the ¼ acre antiquated exhibit at least through 2010. Also note that during 2008 City Council meetings, Dallas citizens many times advocated for Jenny's retirement and CCFJ presented expert evidence on the value to the City and the benefit to Jenny of retiring to The Elephant Sanctuary. - CASEY E. THOMAS II: Mr. Casey Thomas has stated to CCFJ that he is very sympathetic to Jenny’s situation and believes that she should be treated better than she has been by the Dallas Zoo and Dallas City Council. Casey Thomas is a Dallas native, an educator, an ordained deacon, and the co-owner of a consulting business. He states that it is his goal is to bring as much small business as possible to his district and to Dallas to build a strong tax base. Casey has served on the City of Dallas Community Development Commission, the Pleasant Grove Business Association, and NAACP.

- DON ROBINSON: Mr. Don Robinson has stated to CCFJ that he is very sympathetic to Jenny’s situation and believes that she should be treated better than she has been by the Dallas Zoo and Dallas City Council. As a District 5 native, Don Robinson states that he will pursue economic development for his district and Dallas through creating jobs and revitalizing retail sectors and small businesses. He also plans to improve public safety and support education and teachers. Don is the former President of the NAACP, Dallas Chapter.
- City Council Incumbent VONCIEL JONES HILL: In April, 2009, Ms. Jones Hill voted to fund the new $27 million Dallas Zoo elephant exhibit with tax payer dollars. She supports the Zoo's intent to continue Jenny's restrictive confinement in the ¼ acre antiquated exhibit at least through 2010. If elected, Don Parish states he will improve city services and housing, and create sustainable economic development in District 7. Don Parish is President of the Board of the Southfair Development Corporation and he served on the Dallas and Oak Cliff Chambers of Commerce.

If elected, John wants to improve city services and support responsible economic development in Dallas and in his district.

Brint Ryan states that if elected, he will strongly advocate for fiscal accountability and budgetary oversight of the City of Dallas government. Mr. Ryan opposes tax payer funding of the Dallas Convention Center Hotel. Mr. Ryan states he believes in protecting the safety and quality of life of the community and the citizens. George "Brint" Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant.
