Jenny has languished her life away for 22 years in the Dallas Zoo. While elephants in the wild run and walk 30 miles a day, Jenny has been forced to stand in one place in a barren enclosure for more than two decades. Jenny is miserable. She suffers from bouts of crippling depression and painful foot abscesses caused by Zoo confinement.
The natural lifespan of an elephant is 60 to 70 years, but in zoos, elephants live only to 34. Jenny is 32.
The Dallas Zoo has no clear or consistent plan for Jenny. The meager habitat expansion the Zoo is planning is more than two years away and Jenny is suffering NOW!
Jenny could have a wonderful life living as elephants are meant to live at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. The Elephant Sanctuary is world renowned for its specialized expertise in rehabilitating and healing troubled and ailing elephants like Jenny.
Urge City of Dallas decision makers to retire Jenny to the sanctuaries 300 lush, peaceful acres, where she can roam freely in the company of others of her species ... as nature intended.

Many must attend if we are to influence the Zoo to do the right thing for Elephant Jenny. Jenny needs every person, who cares about her, to come!

Dallas Zoo Station Ewing Avenue & Clarendon Drive - Mapsco 55E (614 S. Ewing Ave., Dallas 75203)
Located at the corner of Ewing Avenue and Clarendon Drive, the Dallas Zoo Station is served by the West Oak Cliff segment of the DART Rail Red line. Facilities include lifts/ramps for mobility-impaired passengers, a "kiss & ride" drop-off and pickup area and a bicycle rack.
